Plein Air Painting
I've been working on Plein Air painting this summer setting myself the challenge of getting a scene down in about two hours. Media vary. I'm also very set on getting others involved. It's a great group sport! I find I'm currently making a mental shift from 'getting it right' to enhancing my paintings by integrating a more personal, painterly style. I love the 'fight' of plein air painting.
Stencils and Repeating Patterns
If you're a gelli printer you're probably interested in stencils and repeating patterns. I've been playing with repeating stencils in cricuit, procreate and photoshop to create patterns for printing on paper and fabric and to incorporate in gelli prints. Oh, man! Are the enough hours in a day? Loving this rabbit hole. Keep an eye on the YouTube. Some fun stuff will turn up soon.
Direct Collage
For the last year or so I"ve been having so much fun figure out direct collage on the gelli plate.
